Merle Norman Cosmetics, an American skincare and makeup brand, has launched its new Spring 2011 collection – ‘Fresh-from-the-runway’ - marked by a combination of the newest hues of pink with the trendiest shades of violet and apricot. The new collection will be available at all Merle Norman Cosmetics Studios from March 1, 2011.  

The season’s must-have shadows are available in two limited edition Color Quads: Spring Eyes 1 blends Luminous Shadow in Cloud Nine and Soft Apricot with Color Max Shadow in Iced Coffee and Glacier; Spring Eyes 2 mixes pink shades of Luminous Shadow in Pink Puff and Pink Illusion with purple hues of Color Max Shadow in Purple Reign and Lavender Ice.

The full collection encompasses color for the eyes, lips and cheeks. Included in the eye color collection are long-wearing vibrant pressed-powder eyeshadow that gives a satiny-smooth finish to be blended with light-reflecting powder that lights up the eyes. A long-wearing powder blush in a fresh-looking color define the apples of the cheeks, while the lip color collection -glossy, rich and creamy - has a hydrating formula that diminishes fine lines.  

“To better define the eyes with diffused lines, the current trend is to rim close to the lashes. Soft Touch Eye Pencil in Navy and Galaxy and Age Defying Eyeliner in Royal Purple pair perfectly with our Color Quads. Another fresh option is white, and the Soft Touch Eye Pencil in Ice Dream can be used to outline or blend into inner corners to add a brightening effect,” explains Thakkar.  

The latest cheek look radiates a soft virtual glow with LUXIVA® Lasting Cheekcolor in Sweet Apricot, Angel Glow and Fresh Pink. For a gorgeous halo of color, apply any of these shades in a sideways horseshoe pattern with the Face #5 Brush to provide a naturally lifted look.
