With the heart and courage to make a change in her career, Amanda left the business world to pursue her talents and love of working with hair and the public. Her biggest strength working in the salon is Amanda's uncanny ability to relate and listen to the clients she is working with. Cara - Stylist

Cara is a self proclaimed education junkie with the certificates to prove it! Cara has been a part of the beauty industry since 2006. A graduate from the Douglas J. Aveda Institute, Cara is also a certified Redken Colorist. This pursuit of education will continue to ensure all clients will be blown away by her haircutting, hair styling, and color techniques. Cara’s love for the industry, natural talent, and resonating personality will assure that you receive the perfect look, home maintenance, education, and quality that you need.

Courtney - Hair Stylist

Courtney is a modern-day stylist with a warm vintage center. A graduate of Michigan College of Beauty in Troy, Courtney has spent her time behind the chair personalizing and perfecting the techniques that she utilizes on each client she works with. Courtney adores cutting hair, working with nails and skin care, but her true love is working with and learning new color techniques. Courtney continues to expand her talent through in-salon classes provided by Changez, and as many out-of-salon classes and industry events as she can possibly sign up for; including the Master Specialist Program through Redken 5th Ave. When Courtney is not behind the chair, she leads a dual life. This loving mother of 3 is also known as Penny Slane while playing for the Bath City Roller Girls, in a local roller derby league.

Donna - Stylist

Donna has been at Changez Salon & Merle Norman Cosmetics for 22 years and has been a Redken Stylist for over 30 years. Donna is a premier stylist that has seen and done anything you could ever need. The Matriarch of Changez Salon, Donna is not only a stylist but also a leader and caretaker for the entire shop. Whether greeting clients or training new employees on the ways of Changez, Donna is always willing to devote the time needed for everyone around her to succeed. Donna carries this devotion behind her chair for every customer she has the pleasure of working with. It is her consistency and devotion that keeps her clients coming back.

Margaret - Stylist

Offering over 20 years of experience, Margaret uses her knowledge to lead the staff at Changez as the Assistant Manager and to create hairstyles and color techniques that are both fun and functional. With her belief in continuous education, Margaret has attended many classes and seminars as well as the Redken master Stylist program. This love for education allows her to stay up-to-date in an ever changing business. Margaret uses these changes to inspire and challenge herself to be creative and grow as a stylist. Margaret takes this drive and ambition into everyday life by competing in marathons and triathlon: as well as raising a family. A true 21st century woman, Margaret leads a full life balancing a career, family, and social life, and I promise you, nobody does it better. and challenge herself.

Maureen - Education Coordinator

With 30 years behind the chair, Maureen is using that knowledge to lead the Changez team into the future. As the Education Coordinator at Changez, Maureen has accepted the task of keeping the staff current by choosing and organizing training events. She is a leading reason we are a 21st century salon!

Suzanne - Nail Technician

Suzanne is a Michigan College of Beauty graduate with over 12 years of Salon experience. Suzanne began her career in 1997 as a Changez Family member. After spending 10 years in Northern California, perfecting her art and helping to develop luxury day spas, she has returned home to Changez. She is a true nail artisan with an eye for detail and an in-depth knowledge of sanitary practices. Patrick - Manager, Stylist

Patrick began his tenure at Changez Salon & Merle Norman Cosmetics in 2005. As a graduate of David Pressley School of Cosmetology, Patrick’s strengths as a stylist are his patience, devotion, and understanding of his client’s needs. These strengths have allowed for Patrick to grow into the role of salon manager. Patrick is committed to continuing his education and sharpening his existing skills by regularly attending industry events as well as being certified in the Redken master Stylist program. Patrick has a professional demeanor which has made him a great asset to the Changez team. He enjoys spending his time around all of the charming ladies everyday at the salon.

Jason - Co-Owner, Stylist, Make-Up Artist

Jason is a graduate from David Pressley School of Cosmetology. Began career as a stylist in 1998 at Changez Salon and Merle Norman Cosmetics. Became co-owner of Changez Salon in 2007. Advanced training at Redken 5th Avenue in NYC. Continually attending professional courses across the US to further craft.

Stephen - Co-Owner, Manager

Stephen has a graduate degree in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology and BA in Fine Art. Studied dance and movement for more than two decades. Co-owner of Changez Salon, utilizing this venue to support a plethora of charities and the arts. Passion is helping individuals, couples and groups heal and find the best within themselves. Also an adjunct professor at Oakland Community College, teaching courses in psychology.
